Nurses who study the 10698NAT Diploma of Weight Management or 10576NAT Certificate IV in Weight Management with the Australian College of Weight Management may apply to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia for CPDs. Applications will be assessed on a case by case basis identifying how the course assisted in furthering knowledge.

The Australian College of Weight Management is an approved training provider with IICT (International Institute for Complimentary Therapies) with the 10576NAT Certificate IV in Weight Management and 10698NAT Diploma of Weight Management being approved IICT Modalities.

The Australian College of Weight Management has been awarded the highest level of professional accreditation for the 10698NAT Diploma of Weight Management and 10576NAT Certificate IV in Weight Management – Level A – and each qualification contributes 60 points to your FITREC rating

The Australian College of Weight Management has been awarded the maximum number of PDP points by Physical Activity Australia for students who successfully complete the 10576NAT Certificate IV in Weight Management and the 10698NAT Diploma of Weight Management. Registered Fitness Professionals are therefore able to receive professional accreditation in the form of 6 PDP points upon successful completion of the 10576NAT Certificate IV in Weight Management and/or the 10698NAT Diploma of Weight Management.

The Australian College of Weight Management has been awarded the maximum number of (Continuing Education Credits) CECs by Fitness Australia, the Health & Fitness Industry Association for students who successfully complete the 10576NAT Certificate IV in Weight Management. Registered Fitness Professionals are therefore able to receive professional accreditation in the form of 15 Fitness Australia CECs upon successful completion of the 10576NAT Certificate IV in Weight Management 10576NAT (approval number: 04348FA).

Exercise professionals may also be eligible for Fitness Australia CECs through Affiliated Education for completing units of competency within the 10698NAT Diploma of Weight Management course. Please refer to Fitness Australia’s CEC System Guidelines for further information (you may be eligible to receive up to 45 CEC’s – 5 CEC’s for each of the 9 UoC from the Community, Health & Business national training packages).

The Australian College of Weight Management has been awarded the maximum number of CPD points by REPs New Zealand for students who successfully complete the 10576NAT Certificate IV in Weight Management and the 10698NAT Diploma of Weight Management.  Registered Personal Trainers are therefore able to receive professional accreditation in the form of 20 CPDs upon successful completion of the 10576NAT Certificate IV in Weight Management or the 10698NAT Diploma of Weight Management.
